Germany Protest Real Name Policy on Facebook

The German authorities protesting the use of real names in the regulation of service Facebook. The social networking giant was judged to be able to implement the policy in the country.
Hamburg data protection authority said, Facebook can not impose a policy of 'real name' in Germany by changing the alias name of the user into a real name or user ID requesting them. This is contrary to the policy of using real names Facebook, that the service can block the account that reported not using real names.
German regulator criticism following protests from a woman who complained about the blocking of his account due to not using real names. Facebook reported directly change the name chosen for the original name without consent. The woman was using an alias because did not want to be connected with his business affairs.
German authorities assess the Facebook policy is a violation of privacy.
Meanwhile, the Facebook was disappointed with the attitude of the German authorities. The company says German court has reviewed and assessed the policy does not violate the rules.
"The use of real names on Facebook aims to protect the privacy and safety of the people, by ensuring that they know with whom to share information and connect," said Facebook spokesman, as reported by Mashable.
